After decades of care and dedication, it’s time to put down the ladles and celebrate – two of our longest-serving team members are heading into a well-earned retirement!
Theresa Ruiz has spent an incredible 28 years feeding students – 27 years with Nevada Joint Union High School District and this final year helping launch Community Roots as the Director of Food Services.
Diana Morgado is also hanging up her apron after 18+ years of making the cafeteria at Nevada Union a welcoming place for everyone who walked through those doors.
Together, Theresa and Diana have given so much to our high schools and community. To work in a school cafeteria is to give generously, often without fanfare — and these two did it with grace, year after year, through every busy lunch rush and every early morning.
